Friday: Day 5 of 5 TGIF

It's morning and soon I will be on the road home. YES!!! But first I need to get ready, pack, have breakfast, go the the last session, lunch, listen to closing remarks and then head out. This is my agenda and I plan to stick to it. I am listening to the Weather Channel to find out if there is any possibility of the white stuff coming my way on the road which I plan to travel. So far, so good, but then again when can you really trust the weatherman? Have you ever listened to the forecast for a sunny day and you head out only to find yourself in the middle of a down pour? I guess the idea is to be prepared at all times. Before leaving on this trip I did pack a flashlight, extra blanket and a little survival kit and of course my trusty cell phone. At least I can call for help and the Kennel to let them know I will be delayed. But I digress.

This morning I read a story on RV Now, a feed which I subscribe to and I thought I would share it with you this morning. RV NOW: RV Now Before It’s Too Late

Since the person he is talking about in the story is a social worker, same profession as mine (only I do not work in a hospital, instead I work in the child welfare field), it sparked my interested. I see that time is moving on and I am still typing. I will be back!

I made it home, picked up the dogs, started to unpack my things, fed the dogs, they are contentedly laying on the floor beside me. I am getting ready to put my feet up and watch one of my favorite shows Ghost Whisperer. I will write more tomorrow.

October 2007

It's me again, Angel, I love running through the leaves in my back yard, especially after mommy rakes them up. What fun!!

Today, however, it's raining outside and the possibility of snow. It's time to change the tires on the truck. I can just imagine summer weather all year round, but I digress and must do what needs to be done around here.

It seems as if the changes in weather/seasons in this part of the country happen in one day. I was driving to work the other day and I knew there were leaves on the trees and when I came home for lunch well ... they were on the road the leaves that is. How dramatic is that?

Since it's raining outside I wouldn't be able to finish the yard work I started last weekend. I am tired from the work week and decided to take it easy today (Friday) and enjoy doing whatever I want to do. The dogs are lying here beside me and waiting for a treat. So I had better appease them soon.

Oh by the way, I have noticed the prices of RVs have come down significantly over the past few weeks. i guess now is the time of year to invest in a rig. This is good for me to know for next year when it's closer to my retirement.

I will be back!

Leaves, leaves, so many leaves ... it must be Fall

One morning last week while driving to work I noticed the leaves turning different colors and when I returned home it seemed like those same leaves were on the ground leaving the tree naked. Sure enough, it's Fall alright. The cool nights prove it. I wanted to snap some pictures but never seemed to find the time. But Fall waits for no one, not even me. I looked out my window this morning and noticed that my lawn covered with leaves as was my neighbours. Therefore it's true Fall is here and soon yes very soon winter brrrrrrrrr. Fall seemed to sneak up on us. It's like Fall captured summer and winter is lurking not far behind.

Feeling Better

Well I am feeling much better since my last post. I managed to get two days of work in last week. Today I did the usual shopping stuff, domestic things around the house which I have to finish tomorrow.

I have noticed that the leaves on the trees are turning pretty colors. It looks nice as where I live we have lots of trees. I am also noticing fewer RV's on the road. i think they have headed south for the winter. I wouldn't want to drive a big rig like that in the dead of winter.
