Christmas in May 2010?

You were thinking of planting flowers?
Now listen here ... I did not pray for snow, it was Angel!

Thank you God for the white stuff!
Merry Christmas from our house to Yours
What did I tell you? It was Angel.
My mom is in the house ... what did you expect?
I am dreaming of a White Christmas
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...

Since the beginning of May 2010 we have had numerous snow falls, melting and more snow. One thing for sure is the ground will be nice and moist once it stops snowing. My dogs have loved the snow and likely are a wee bit confused about the seasons. Ha Ha Ha! We can always use a good laugh now and then.

I think once the weather gets itself reorganized and the ground becomes dry enough to continue raking the stuff off from last year.

A Fresh Blanket of Snow Outside My Door

I opened the door this morning to let the dogs out. Haida, immediately enticed Angel to play, whereas, Teddy tip toed onto the deck looked towards the back yard and thought to himself,"Yippee, I can pee right here since the back yard is now on the deck."

Since I got up later than usual this morning this is going to be short. The radio announcer stated the roads are slippery this morning. My first though,"I am so glad that I was out of town last week instead of this week." On that note, I better run and get ready for work since I will likely have to crawl on the icy roads this morning along with the rest of the cars and trucks.

I just got home from a busy day at work. When I left the house this morning the traffic was unbelievable. I think everybody had the same idea to wait until the absolute last minute to drive to work hoping that the snow will have melted. I try to leave myself enough room between the car in front of me especially when the road conditions are slippery. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that the parking lot was not even half full after 8:00 a.m. Perhaps others had the same idea to wait it out.

Well, it's supper time and the dogs are pacing back and forth wondering what's for supper. Till next time.

Winter Right Around the Corner

I am in the back yard raking the last of the leaves and picking up dog poop! How exciting. I am clearing off deck furniture and moving it into the garage for the winter. This makes cleaning off the snow in the winter much easier and I am all for low maintenance. The dogs love the snow and usually make their own little cow path to the back yard to do their business and play. Well for the exception of Teddy. One snow flake and he heads for the sunroom to do his business. I don't mind as it's flooring and easy to clean. Two out of three isn't bad hey? I have yet to figure out away the dogs could use the toilet. I do understand that cats can be trained to use toilets. One for the cats!

Well I made myself another fresh cup of coffee and I am heading outdoors again. I will pick this up much much later after finishing the outside front and back yards. This is when I am thinking I should live in a condo. Then of course not pets at least not as many as I have with me here.

Well 25 bags of leaves and I am finally finished with all the yard work. What a job! I am now ready for the snow to fly. I am sure the dogs and me will sleep soundly tonight considering all the fresh air. Oh my aching bones!
